Our rooms are influenced by Japanese design and culture, with clean lines and natural tones to create a peaceful ambience, drawing upon the elements of water and air.

All of our rooms are as individual as the fell tops they are named after. Each room has been carefully designed to emphasise the beauty and history of the coaching house, giving each its own unique character, with some offering balcony views, roll-top baths, rain showers and one even a Japanese tub.

Luxuriously appointed, all have a plush, super-king size mattress, bespoke Petrichor toiletries designed exclusively for us by The Sedbergh Soap Co. (Petrichor meaning “the smell of rain”), Herdwick and Rough Fell carpets and blankets, mugs hand-made by local artist Rebecca Callis and evocative photography of the surrounding area by Rob Whitrow, plus independent tea and coffee-making facilities.

We offer a range of rooms to suit your requirements, including a number of special, dog-friendly rooms for those travelling with their four-legged companions. Please contact us direct for more information.
